Cable & Wireless BVI

Detailed forward planning and high levels of investment enable Cable & Wireless to provide world class telecommunications services to 16 islands across the BVI from Anegada to Jost Van Dyke.
Customers enjoy a reliability of service that is second to none. While businesses in neighbouring islands have lost service for weeks or even months due to adverse weather conditions, the network in the BVI has withstood the onslaught of numerous hurricanes in recent times.
Customers also benefit from the considerable investment Cable & Wireless has made in providing a variety of different connections to the rest of the world. This helps ensure important international business calls can always get through. We have used leading-edge fibre optic technology to link the BVI directly to the USA, the UK, Europe, Puerto Rico and the USVI, while the Eastern Caribbean Fibre System has extended optical quality connections throughout the region.
We have also expanded our multi-media services, created a self-healing fibre optic broadband local network and have made major upgrades to our switching facilities. The benefits of these investments are apparent in even further improved service reliability and our ability to swiftly provide the new, advanced services you need for your business. Cable & Wireless is committed to maintaining the BVI's position at the forefront of telecommunications systems and services, providing our customers with the sharper competitive edge they need to seize the opportunities available in the new global market place.

British Virgin Islands Tourist Board

When you think of The British Virgin Islands (BVI), don't think big, think numerous. There is more of everything in The British Virgin Islands, but only in the ways that count. With more beauty, more isolated beaches and more unsurpassed sailing. These islands are truly one of nature's little secrets.

The BVI's main islands include:
• Tortola, the largest island and the primary center of Caribbean yachting...
• Virgin Gorda, an isle of natural wonders and home to The Baths...
• Picturesque Jost Van Dyke - The Caribbean as it used to be...
• Isolated Anegada, a coral atoll with miles of deserted Caribbean beaches.

Each island has its own special character and charm. But these are only the major islands of the BVI.  There are also dozens of secluded islands, islets and cays, all unique and beautiful in their own right.
